The journal primarily serves the Czech and Slovak forensic medicine community while welcoming contributions from international authors whose work is relevant to forensic medicine, forensic sciences, and related biomedical disciplines.
About the Journal
Soudní lékařství (Forensic Medicine) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal devoted to forensic medicine, forensic pathology, forensic toxicology, and related biomedical disciplines involved in the investigation of injury, disease, and death. It is the official journal of the Czech Society of Forensic Medicine and Forensic Toxicology of the Czech Medical Association J. E. Purkyně. Established in 1956, it serves the Czech forensic-medicine community while remaining open to relevant contributions from Slovakia and other countries.
The journal publishes research, case-based experience, reviews, methodological papers, and educational contributions relevant to forensic medicine in the clinical, academic, legal, and institutional environment. It supports communication among forensic physicians, clinicians, laboratory specialists, researchers, legal professionals, and other experts working at the interface of medicine, science, and law.
